| The AOC Bellet was obtained in 1941. It covers 650 ha, including 50 ha farm.
"Collet de Bovis" is 4.5 hectares. The soil consists of "pudding", a conglomerate sand-limestone pebbles with some clay veins. | The vines are rolle (also known as the Vermentino) for white, the "Braquet", the "Folle noire", Grenache and Cinsault (small percentage) for red and rosé. The maximum authorized yield is 40 hectoliters per hectare. It is rarely achieved.
The vines are fertilized with organic fertilizer and grass during the winter and early spring. No insecticides are used. The operation is in organic conversion. Size used is the short size that does not allow more than 8 bunches per vine. In addition, a green harvest is done in case of excess production. |
