The Bellet wine "Collet Bovis" is produced in the area Fogolar which lies on the edge of an old Roman road. Among the vineyards of the appelation, it is one that is located to the south and enjoys a particularly favorable wind regime.
The area overlooks the Var valley to the west and the sea to the south. The first vines were planted in 1974.
Successive extensions have brought the property to 4.5 acres.
|The exploitation of family type is directed by Jean Spizzo, former university professor, specialist of theater and Italian literature. The name "Fogolar" reflects its origins from the Friuli area.|
The first bottles were sold in 1991. Medals and citations in the guides came to spend quality wines "Collet Bovis" which currently produces 12,000 bottles per year. The wine is exported to the UK and has counted among its customers Alain Ducasse.
For Jean Spizzo great wines are part of the cultural heritage. Art naturally combines the vine. Thus the "Fogolar" welcomes summer art exhibitions and theatrical performances.
